- 私たち人間が文を読んだり聞いたりする際は文末まで待ってからでなく、部分的な入力に応じて速やかに解釈をすすめてゆきます。 その際、 入力に伴う様々な情報が、 文構造の割り出しにどのように使われるのか、視線計測により調べることができます。 私の最近の関心は、 母語、第二言語、 子ども、大人において、 聞いた文の抑揚や間といった韻律情報が未入力部分の予測にどう使われるのかを調べることです。

- Current Research Interest
- Humans understand language very rapidly as information unfolds over time. I am currently interested in the ways in which language users (native speakers, second language speakers, adults, children) use prosodic information in selecting structural alternatives, or make predictions about the upcoming input. Tracking eye movements while people listen to sentences is a popular way to investigate how people understand sentences in real time.
