- 我々ホモ・サピエンスの生物学的特性を理解するため、 人類進化と道具の製作・ 使用体系の発達史に関する研究を進めている。 特に、 ユーラシア大陸に拡散したホモ・サピエンスが、 各地にいた先行人類と交替し、人口増加を可能にした背景を探っている。 現在、この原因の一つに狩猟技術の発達があったと考え、 投槍器や弓矢を用いた複合的投射技術の起源と拡散プロセスについて研究している。

- I am investigating the relationship between human evolution and temporal advances in technology, and the function of prehistoric stone tools, to better understand the distinctive abilities of Homo Sapiens. In particular, I am interested in the reasons why Homo Sapiens who expanded into Eurasia achieved an increase in population size. Believing that one of the causes of this was the development of hunting technology, at the moment, I try to elucidate the emergence and dispersal process of complex projectile technology using spearthrowers and bows-and-arrows.
