先天性盲ろう者です。幼い頃から触手話を使用している他、指点字も獲得し、必要に応じて使用しています。難聴通園施設、ろう学校、盲学校を経て一般大学に入学しました。筑波技術大学の大学院を修了した後、現在は同大学の職員として勤務しています。

I am congenitally deafblind. I have used tactile sign language since childhood and also acquired finger Braille, which I use as needed. After attending a day-care center for hearing-impaired, a school for the deaf, and a school for the blind, I entered a general university and completed graduate studies at the Tsukuba University of Technology. I currently work as an administrative staff member at the university.

必ずしも手話が上手でなくても気が合えばコミュニケーションは楽しめると思います。障害があって指がうまく曲がらなかったりしても大まかな内容がわかれば会話が成り立つことはあります。
You don’t necessarily have to be a good signer to enjoy communication with the Deaf. Even if you have a disability and your fingers don’t bend well, you can communicate if you can understand the general content of the conversation.
