同じ言語を話すと「伝わる」のはなぜでしょうか？ 言語は音声や視覚など、物理的なシグナルを組み合わせた「形」から成り立っています。同じ言語を話す人はその「形」の操り方を共有することで、意味を共有することができています。

Why can we communicate when we use the same language? A language is made up of “forms”, which are a combination of physical signals, such as sounds (spoken languages) or visual signals (sign languages). People who speak the same language share ways of manipulating these ‘forms’ that allow them to understand what the other person is saying.
