テナガザルの仲間は、夫婦と子の核家族で暮らしています。彼らは、夫婦・母子の間で「歌」を交わしますが、種ごとに旋律などが違い、歌遺伝子の存在が示唆されています。

Gibbons live in a nuclear family, consisting of a couple and their offspring. They exchange “songs” between husband and wife, mother and offspring, and each species has a distinct melody, suggesting the existence of song genes.
