Every language has expressions that are only used in the home or by certain groups. In Japanese Sign Language, which is not as normative as Japanese, this aspect is more evident. Here we will introduce a variety of expressions that came up when we asked participants to talk about vegetables to add to curry. We will also show how the conversation progressed when unfamiliar words appeared in the conversation.
