「形」と「意味」の結びつきである「語」の情報をたくさん共有することで、コトバを使った伝達が可能になります。「形」は単なる物理的シグナルが並んだもので、どの「意味」と結びついてもかまいません。そのため、同じ形でも言語によって結びつく意味が異なります。

By sharing a lot of information about “words”, which are the combinations between “form” and “meaning”, it becomes possible to communicate with words. The “form” is simply a set of physical signals that can be associated with any “meaning”. Therefore, the same form can have different meanings in different languages.
